Managing Your Personal Profile (Email and Password)

Learn how to update your login information and secure access to your DoxyChat account.

Introduction

It is important to keep your personal information up to date to ensure the security of your account and make sure you receive important notifications (invoices, quota alerts, leads).

All modifications related to your identity are made from the Settings section of your dashboard.

Accessing Your Profile

1. Log in to your DoxyChat account.
2. In the sidebar menu, click on Settings (the gear icon).
3. Make sure you are in the Profile tab (or My Account).

Changing Your Password

To strengthen the security of your account, we recommend changing your password regularly.

1. Locate the Security or Password section.
2. You will need to fill in three fields:
   • Current password: Required to prove that you are the one requesting the change.
   • New password: Choose a complex combination of characters (8 characters minimum, mixing letters, numbers, and symbols).
   • Confirm new password: Enter it identically to avoid typos.
3. Click on Update password.

Note: If you have forgotten your current password and can no longer log in, use the “Forgot password?” link located on the application’s login page.

Changing Your Email Address

Your email address is your login identifier and the primary channel through which we contact you.

1. In the Personal Information section, locate the Email field.
2. Delete the current address and enter the new one.
3. Click on Save changes.

Security Verification

To validate this change, a security procedure may be triggered:

• A confirmation email will be sent to your new address.
• You will need to click on the link contained in this email for the change to take effect.
• Until the link is clicked, the old email address remains active for login.
